Furnishing Hope Ministries Inc. is a Florida nonprofit organization serving Volusia County by providing furniture and household essentials to foster children and families in transition. Our mission is to meet practical needs with compassion, dignity, and faith-inspired service.
Who do you serve?
We primarily serve:
• Foster families
• Kinship caregivers (relatives who unexpectedly take in children)
• Families working toward reunification
• Families connected through CarePortal and partner agencies
Why is furniture such a critical need?
In Volusia County alone, there are typically hundreds of children in transition at any given time. Many placements happen quickly, leaving caregivers without enough beds or furniture. A furnished home provides stability, dignity, and a sense of safety for children during uncertain seasons.
How are families connected to Furnishing Hope Ministries?
Most referrals come through CarePortal and trusted community partners. This ensures that needs are verified and resources are distributed responsibly.
